Coral Bay IPA

Coral Bay Brings Back the Balanced IPA

We didn’t strive for extreme bitterness, haziness, or “juiciness,” but rather for an especially approachable and unmistakable IPA for IPA lovers. Abundant late hop charges make hop aromas shine in an IPA designed to showcase tropical and stone fruit notes. Dank grassiness and pine character are present, but more as a seasoning than a main ingredient, which brings out a tropical mango-apricot aroma that becomes quite prominent if you allow this beer to lose its chill. These interesting aromas are developed by careful dry-hop timing, temperature control, and close attention to water chemistry. A touch of caramel malt provides color and sweetness, enhancing the impression of fruitiness. Bitterness is assertive but smooth, and lingers awhile, so it wraps up the mid-palate sweetness to finish balanced and clean. We leave this beer unfiltered for your greater enjoyment. Smooth bitterness pairs nicely with spicy, salty, and fatty dishes, and the fruity character pairs with many desserts.
